Dr. Erwin Berkhout behaalde in 1998 zijn tandartsdiploma en promoveerde in 2007 in de orale radiologie. In 2009 voltooide hij de opleiding tot coördinerend stralingsdeskundige. Sinds 2013 is hij sectievoorzitter van de sectie Orale Radiologie van ACTA en houdt zich daar bezig met onderwijs, onderzoek en patiëntenzorg. Daarnaast voert hij een algemene tandartspraktijk in Loosdrecht. Hij is voorzitter van de ''Radiation Protection committee'' van de European Academy of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology (EADMFR).

Erwin Berkhout (1974) graduated from ACTA in 1998 and achieved his PhD degree in 2007. In 2009 he accomplished the course of general radiation expert. He works as assistant professor and educational coordinator at the Oral Radiology department at ACTA. Erwin teaches students and gives lectures in post graduate courses in oral radiology and radiation protection. He also writes radiological reports for referred patients.
