Dr. Hugh Byrne graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1995. Afterwards he held a position as a faculty member here for 20 years. Over the last 25 years, he has worked in a general practice, with a specific interest in conservative adhesive dentistry. Following five years of practising dentistry in London, Hugh established a private practice in Dublin, focusing on adhesive restorative dentistry. Since 2000, he has been working part-time as a lecturer with the Department of Restorative Dentistry in the Dublin Dental and University Hospital, affiliated to Trinity College Dublin. He is co-founder of Mimétika, together with the two fellow speakers of this congress, Raphael Wymann and Filip Keulemans. Mimétika provides training in advanced adhesive dentistry, aiming to bridge the gap between clinical research and clinical practice.
