In 1986, dr. Peter Wetselaar graduated as a dentist from the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and has since worked in a general dental practice and referral practice in Heemstede. In 2007, he completed his post-initial training in Oral Kinesiology at the Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA) under the supervision of dr. Jacques van der Zaag and prof. dr. Frank Lobbezoo. In 2016, Peter obtained his PhD with his dissertation entitled 'The Tooth Wear Evaluation System: Development and Applications' at the UvA. Since 2011, he has been working part-time at the ACTA as a staff member of the departments of Restorative and Reconstructive Oral Care and Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction. Peter is a recognized dentist-gnathologist (NVGPT) and dentist-sleep medicine (NVTS).
