Cor van Loveren, Professor of Preventive Dentistry behalf of the Ivory Cross at the Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA). Graduated in 1976 as a dentist at the University of Utrecht. Shortly thereafter accepted a position as a lecturer and researcher in preventive dentistry at the Department of Social and Preventive Dentistry in Utrecht. Moved in 1986 professionally to the Department of Cariology Endodontology and Pedodontology of ACTA. Is Chairman of the Advisory Board on Prevention Oral and Dental Diseases of the Ivory Cross. Published in national and international literature on preventative dental topics. Is regularly invited to speak at national and international meetings on preventive dental topics including on nutrition and dental caries, fluoride, erosion and evidence-based dentistry.
