Prof. dr. Ad de Jongh is tandarts en gezondheidszorg‐psycholoog en als bijzonder hoogleraar angst‐ en gedragsstoornissen verbonden aan de Stichting voor Bijzondere Tandheelkunde (SBT) en het Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde (ACTA). Hij is auteur van meer dan 250 publicaties op het terrein van psychologische onderwerpen, zoals (de behandeling van) angststoornissen, en publiceerde vijf boeken. Daarnaast is hij onder andere hoofdopleider van de opleiding tot tandarts‐angstbegeleiding en directeur van de het Centrum voor Psychotherapie en Psychotrauma te Bilthoven.

Ad de Jongh, Ph.D. is both dentist and clinical psychologist. He is professor of Anxiety and Behavior Disorders at the Academic Centre for Dentistry (ACTA) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, a collaboration of the University of Amsterdam en Vrije Universiteit. He is also honorary professor at the School of Health Sciences of Salford University in Manchester (UK). Ad de Jongh is an expert in the field of dental phobia and program director of the 3-years postgraduate course program ‘Dentist specialized in treatment of dental fear’. Ad de Jongh is also director of the Centre for Psychotherapy and Psychotrauma in Bilthoven and of the trauma treatment unit of D.O.E.N. in Druten. He is (co-)-author of about 200 scientific articles/book chapters and 6 books on (the treatment of) anxiety disorders. Catergories: Social dentistry
