Dr. Jianfeng Jin is a dentist and was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral Cell Biology at the Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA) in 2024. From 2012 to 2016 Jianfeng worked as a full-time dentist. Currently, he works as a researcher and lecturer at ACTA. His main interests are bone adaptation to mechanical loading and bone regeneration. With the results of his research, he builds bridges between fundamental and patient-related research into bone regeneration. He teaches the courses ‘Growth and development’, ‘Oral biology’, and 'Cell biology of function recovery using implantology and surgical periodontics’. He has published 24 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 1 book chapter on bone adaptation to mechanical loading and bone regeneration. Furthermore, he is actively involved in research projects like the ‘Implant model’, ‘Bone on-a-chip’, and ‘MechanoChip’. As a lecturer, he teaches theoretical courses on oral biology and implant osteointegration.
