Dr. Nicoline van der Kaaij completed her degree in Dentistry as well as her specialization in Orthodontics at the Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA). In 2019, Nicoline completed her PhD research at the University of Amsterdam on preventive measures for the development of white spot lesions during treatment with fixed orthodontic equipment. After her specialization in 2012, she worked as an orthodontist in several practices. Since 2016, she has been co-owner of the orthodontic practice 'Orthodontisten Heemstede'. Nicoline also works at the Orthodontics Department of ACTA, where she is the program director for the specialization degree and conducts research. Besides, Nicoline is a member of the cleft lip and palate team of the Amsterdam UMC. At ACTA, she treats patients with cleft lip and palate and other special patients in the orthodontic field.
