In 2012, Tim Thomassen graduated as a dentist from the Academic Center of Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA). After having worked in general dental practice for 7.5 years, he decided to extend his theoretical, clinical, and scientific knowledge in the field of Periodontology. In 2022, he completed the post-initial training in Oral Health Sciences - Periodontology, after which he was recognized as a periodontist NVvP. He works at the 'Paro Praktijk Utrecht', where he conducts consultations and treatments in the fields of periodontology and implantology. Also, he is an enthusiastic teacher and PhD candidate at the department of Periodontology at ACTA. He regularly writes for (inter)national professional journals and gives lectures. Furthermore, he has been a member of the board of the Dutch Society for Periodontology (NVvP) since 2023.
